last week, I went home for the first time in 3 years. let this speak as the first in my series - an ode to my city.

August 2, 2023 - a reflection

Although you’re here in my writing portfolio, there were no words to originally accompany this photo series, purposefully. Firstly for me, because I can place myself inside each one of these images, and secondly for you, to not color your perception and interpretation.

For some insight into my mind, the meanings and depth of these images is fluid for me. I let time, change and wisdom alter my view of each photograph, and I think that’s truly what makes it what it is — an ode to my city. And I like it that way.
